Irresistible Ice Cream Cake – Cool, Creamy, and Absolutely Delicious

Craving something sweet and creamy? Try this Easy Ice Cream Cake recipe! Made with layers of chocolate cake, ice cream, and whipped topping, it’s sure to be a hit at any gathering.

Ingredients:
• 1 (18.25 ounces) package of chocolate cake mix
• 1/2 gallon ice cream, any flavor
• 1 (12 ounces) container of frozen whipped topping, thawed
• 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
• 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
• Maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)


Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  4. Once the cake is cool, remove the ice cream from the freezer to soften slightly.
  5. Spread the softened ice cream over the cooled cake in an even layer.
  6. Place the cake in the freezer for at least 2 hours, or until the ice cream is firm.
  7. Remove the cake from the freezer and spread the thawed whipped topping over the ice cream layer.
  8. Drizzle the chocolate syrup over the whipped topping and sprinkle with chopped nuts, if desired.
  9. Garnish with maraschino cherries, if using.
  10. Return the cake to the freezer and freeze until ready to serve.
  11. Remove from the freezer a few minutes before serving to allow it to soften slightly for easier slicing.
